Lime And Ginger

Make a drink by mixing 2 tablespoons lime juice in a glass of water. Add some honey in it. Now grate ginger and extract the juice. Add about a tablespoon of ginger juice to the lime juice. Have this drink after a heavy meal or when you have an uneasy feeling in the stomach.


Fruits are rich in acids that help in relieving the stomach of indigestion. Have fruits like oranges and grapes after meals. In fact make it a habit of having some assorted fruits after lunch and dinner instead of desserts.

Lemon And Water

Lemon water gives instant relief from heartburn. Mix a few teaspoons of lime or lemon juice with some water. Have it chilled or cooled.

Apply ice pack on the stomach or take a warm bath. Soak into a tub filled with warm water. This will relieve you from the queasy feeling.



Buttermilk has been used since ages to treat indigestion. In fact in many cultures people have a glass of buttermilk after every meal. Buttermilk soothes the stomach.


Coriander gives instant relief from heartburn. Mix coriander juice, ginger juice, some cloves and cardamom. Add 2 tablespoons of this mix to a glass of water. Have this after a heavy meal. Another coriander drink you can have is by mixing some ground cumin seeds to a glass of water along with a tablespoon of coriander juice and some salt.

Honey And Apple Cider Vinegar

Have a glass of water mixed with 1 teaspoon honey and equal amounts apple cider vinegar. Drink this before a meal or after.
