Eyes are the window to the soul and that window make crack for good if you are not careful. Excuse my sarcasm but all I want to bring to your notice is how simple things, that can be avoided, are causing severe damage to the eyes in daily life.
Making Exhausted Eyes Work
With the 24/7 lifestyle, it is the eyes are being tortured the most. Excess working on laptops, chatting on mobiles and lack of sleep all lead to exhausted eyes. Over stress can lead to dry eyes, weaken the retina and cause blurred vision. Some have even reported to view white webs in their eyes.
Wrong Reading Habits
Reading at bed time does not suggest that one should read while lying down. The book should be about 10 cms away from your eyes, neither too close nor too far. Make sure the room has enough light so you don`t need to strain your eyes.
Reading should be avoided in moving vehicles. It puts pressure on eyes.
Blink your eyes as often as possible while you are reading. You will find your eyes feeling less tired.
Even if they itch, the eyes should not be rubbed. It can tear fragile layers, constituting anatomy of the eye. Splash your eyes with cold water or place an ice cube to reduce itching or burning but avoid rubbing.
Over Use Of Contact Lenses
Contact lens should not be worn for more than 8 hours at a stretch. The lubrication tends to wear out by that time. Always remove contact lens before going to sleep. Wash your eyes with water and wash your contact lens with the solution so that they can be used the next day.
Many lens users do not wash the lenses properly. This is the easiest way for the eye to catch infections.
This is the most common mistake that most of the women make, especially at a younger age. The chemicals present in low quality eye make-up can considerably reduce your eye power.
Hence, always use best quality products. Make sure you remove your make-up by the end of the day. If it irritates your eyes do not use the product again. May be you are allergic to it.
