If the menstrual cycles are too short (less than 21 days) or too long (more than 35 days) or if they are irregular then also they can indicate some problem.  Irregular periods can be indicative of problems of ovulation among women.


A woman’s age plays another crucial factor in determining her chances of getting pregnant. The body clock is so tuned that till the age of 35, a woman gets pregnant easily but thereafter the chances of conceiving drop rapidly. For example, by the time a woman reaches the age of 30, her chances of conceiving during one menstrual cycle reduces to 20% and by the time she reaches the age of 40, they further drop to 5%.
