During this time, are you confident that your feet will look clean and smell fresh? These questions arise because we need to be concerned about foot hygiene as much as we are concerned about our facial beauty. How should we take care of our feet? Here are some tips.
Tips for Healthy Feet
Use soap and lukewarm water for washing your feet daily. Rinse with cold water and then dry. Once dry, apply foot cream. Remember to dry your feet when wet, especially the areas between the toes.
Schedule the time for purchase of shoes in the afternoon because by that time the feet are at the best fitting size. A reminder for those who wear sandals when walking or going out to the beach is to apply sunscreen to the feet, as well as to the other exposed parts of the body.
The dead cells of the foot especially in the heels area should be removed by scrubbing the foot. After scrubbing, your feet will become soft and smooth. A good practice for foot care before you sleep is to apply moisturizer on your feet after washing and drying them, except the area between the toes. Insoles, foot powders and foot sprays can prevent odor of the feet.
Foot Care: The Natural Way
Use foot soak in taking care of the foot naturally. To prepare the foot soak, add 1 cup of Lemon Juice to water in a tub. Add ¼ teaspoon of Cinnamon Powder, 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil and ¼ cup of milk. Soak your feet into the tub for 10-15 minutes and then wash your feet with mild soap, dry and then apply cream for foot care.
Foot lotion can also be prepared with natural ingredients and used for rubbing into the feet and heels, once the feet are cleaned and dried. Prepare the lotion by using 1 tablespoon of Almond Oil, 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil, 1 teaspoon of Wheat Germ Oil and 12 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Fragrance Oil.
