During your pregnancy, you will go out and purchase all sorts of things for your baby. Chances are you will start stocking up on diapers, clothes, wipes, soaps and lotions. But, before you go hog wild on baby products and supplies, talk to your friends and other family members. They may have some clothes that they can pass on to you as well as advice on diapers and certain clothes.
One of the first things that you will want to buy is the crib. There are so many different styles you can choose from that it may seem a little confusing at first. Think about a baby swing as well. This may be one of the best items that you can purchase for your baby and for yourself.
You will also need to think about diapers. You can go with disposables or with cloth. It depends on whether or not you want to wash a lot of diapers or if you can afford to go with disposables. They can get a little expensive, but cloth can be a lot of work.
When it comes to clothing you will want to make sure they have easy access for diaper changes. And, if you don’t know what the sex of the baby is, you may want to stick with neutral colors until the baby is born.
How you are going to feed your baby is another concern. You will need to decide if you are going to breastfeed and, if so, for how long, or if you are going to bottle feed. Don’t forget about the toys. Start out with small toys at first since the baby’s vision is still in the developing stage.
Don’t forget to look into car seats and safety. You may want to take a CPR class for that, just in case. And during the last stages of your pregnancy is a good time to get those last minute things done around the house.
