Beauty Tips To Keep Healthy
You might have seen women with nice taut faces, whereas the skin below the neck area is not so taut and yelling of age. Your face is not alone in showing that you are aging. Your entire body speaks of aging. We spend so much time concentrating on our face that we forget that we need to take care of other parts as well.
Here are a few tips that will help the whole of you to keep healthy and young.
Remember to moisturise everywhere
Do not forget to moisturise your neck, shoulders and hands. These areas, though often forgotten, always show signs of aging if not cared for properly. These areas are also exposed to the same amount of pollution, sun, dust and air and hence, you need to moisturise, exfoliate and protect them from sun just like your face.
Avoid smoking
Smoking is not good for anything, more so for the skin. Smoking breaks down the elastic fibres of the skin around your mouth, increasing wrinkles. Not only that, it also speeds up greying of your hair, making you look older.
Take care of your hands
You will not be able to function well without your hands, so do not neglect them when you have to care for them. Exfoliate them from time to time to prevent any fine lines from appearing.
Beware of broken blood vessels
These are known as telangiectasias. They are small and linear, and occur on the surface of the skin. A sign of aging is this and it is more common on the face and cheeks and around the nostrils. People having sun-damaged skin or people with rosacea are more prone to this. Treatments for this condition are pulsed-dye laser and pulsed-green lasers. You might require multiple treatments for the nasal vessels because they are harder to treat.
Take care during menopause
Your skin changes along with your body during this crucial phase of life. Estrogen levels drop, causing your skin to become drier and more prone to wrinkles. Collagen production is reduced, making it looser and less plump. You can take your dermatologist’s advice for taking care of your skin during this period.
Work out
Exercise will strengthen your body and make your skin healthier. Your blood circulation will become better and this is good for your skin. Do not spend your time and energy on fake diets and pills, instead hit your local gym and brush some years off.
