All women worry about cellulite. If a woman does not have cellulite, she is constantly attempting to keep herself from getting cellulite.

If a woman has cellulite, she constantly worries about ways to get rid of or improve the look of her cellulite.

What Causes Cellulite

Cellulite is caused by fat deposits building up under the skin. It creates a bumpy, cottage cheese look that most women do not like. It is also due to water retention and poor blood circulation.

A woman may notice an increase in cellulite if she loses a considerable amount of weight. An unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, as well as smoking can contribute to unsightly cellulite. There are several ways to battle cellulite but there are plenty of natural, at home techniques to battling cellulite.

But laser and liposuction surgeries tend to be too expensive for most women. Liposuction is considered to be a major surgery and requires going under anesthesia. Laser surgery is limited by certain skin types.

Over the Counter Creams

There are several over the counter products available at drug stores. Most over the anti creams only hide the appearance of cellulite. There are also makeup products that promise to hide the look of cottage cheese thighs. But this is only a temporary solution.

Natural Cellulite Treatments

Natural cellulite treatments are longer lasting. A cellulite massage works deep under the skin and dissolves the fat. This technique is more affordable than laser surgery. It does not have any side effects and helps to relive stress. You will not have to take any time off from work for healing or take any prescriptions pain killers.

Exercise Is Key

Increasing exercise is also important in decreasing cellulite. Running, cycling or Pilates are all great ways of improving muscle mass in your thighs. As your muscles become more toned, the cellulite will fade away.

Water, Water, Water

It is also important to remain hydrated when trying to rid your body of cellulite. Drinking plenty of water will enable your body to build muscle mass and dissolve the fat pockets. It will also give you the stamina to continue with the necessary work outs.
