Sensitive skin can be found in both men and women. The usual indications that a person has sensitive skin are that it can be irritated easily, sometimes by factors that would not provoke the slightest reaction in other people with normal skin.
The skin begins to itch in the place where it has been touched by a liquid or object and your natural reaction is to rub your skin to ease the irritation. This can spread the liquid over a wider area and increase the irritation. Other reactions can be a stinging sensation in the area, as well as chafing.
Sometimes the reaction is due to an allergic reaction to something we have eaten and this can be confused with an external cause.
Use Natural Moisturizers
One of the ways in which you can treat your sensitive skin is by using only natural moisturizers. These should contain Aloe Vera, which has a powerful soothing effect on sensitive skin. It also has healing properties that would protect and heal any micro-abrasions in the skin and remove any sensations of discomfort or irritation.
Use Jojoba Oil
Jojoba Oil also has good qualities for sensitive skin. You should look for a moisturizer that contains Aloe Vera as well as Jojoba Oil that would heal and protect your skin, while at the same time make it look good. Rosewater is also good for the skin and is sometimes found among the ingredients of most good moisturizers.
Recipe for Exfoliant
A good exfoliant for sensitive skin that uses only natural ingredients can be made by mixing 4 tablespoons of Oatmeal with the juice of a whole Grapefruit. This compound should be stirred and mixed until the result is a good paste. You should then spread it lightly on your face and leave it there for about 15 minutes. Remove the paste with warm water.
Recipe for Facial
Another good treatment for sensitive skin can be made by mixing Honey, about a teaspoonful, and the same quantity of Rosewater. Apply this concoction to your face and leave it there for about 20 minutes. Wash your face with warm water and see the results.
