Lip gloss is a bare essential for all women. Lip gloss makes your lips look attractive, plump and protect them too. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could produce your own lip gloss? Yes, it’s definitely possible and I would recommend all of you, especially the ones with sensitive skin, to make their own lip gloss at least once.
Preparing your own lip gloss gives you the freedom to choose the ingredients and the flavors! The best thing is that you’ll be using natural ingredients. I made mine last week and stored it in a sterilized jar. I even stuck my name on it (to give it a professional feel), and you know what? I am freaking proud of it and kind of brag about it to all. Here are some easy recipes for you to try.
Different Lip Gloss Recipes
Basic Safe Lip Gloss
This lip gloss is not fun, it is somewhat like Vaseline but if you’re a beginner you might just try this out for some experience in lip-gloss making.
Coconut oil, Paraffin wax, Petroleum jelly, Candy melts (if you want colored gloss), candy flavor (oil based), grater, wax paper, sterilized Ziploc pouch, sterilized container (for storage).
Grate a bit of paraffin wax. Take ¼ teaspoon of the grated wax in the Ziploc bag, add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of petroleum jelly, one candy melt to bring in some color and taste. If you want you can add 1/8 teaspoon of the candy flavor. Seal the pouch and put it in a bowl of hot water.
Do not microwave or heat directly. When the contents of the bag have melted, mix well and pour into the sterilized container. Keep it aside for setting. You may also leave it in the fridge for 20 minutes if you want it to set faster. This gloss lasts for a long time and keeps your lips soft.
