The world is full of all sorts of different people and we all have different types of hair. Every single type of hair can look fantastic, some just take a little more work than others.

Taking Care of Straight Hair

The advantage to having straight hair is that when you arrange it into specific style is stays that way. Straight hair isn’t prone to frizzing when it rains or the air is humid. One dilemma that people who have straight hair is that it doesn’t take very long before the top portion of the hair, the hair that lies against the skull, starts to look greasy and unkempt. The reason that people who have straight hair struggle so much with oily hair is because there isn’t enough air flow for the scalp to dry out.

There are several ways you can deal with your oily scalp. The first thing you should do is make sure that the shampoo and conditioner you are using is designed for people with oily, greasy hair. Lift your hair so that the roots are exposed, now use a small spray bottle and spray some water onto your scalp.

The water will help prevent your pores from releasing a surplus of oil that transfers to your hair. Sprinkling a little bit of cornstarch on your scalp will help absorb the natural oils.

Dealing with Curly Hair

People who were blessed with a head full of curls have their own hair care problems. In addition to being extremely dry, the curls are constantly getting tangled.

If you have curls you should make sure you use a moisturizing shampoo that was made for curly haired women. You should deep condition your hair at least once a week and you should also use hot oil treatments every other week.

After washing your curly hair, you should coat it with a layer of leave-in conditioner, in addition to helping hydrate your hair; the leave-in conditioner will also make it easier to remove the tangles. Instead of using a comb or brush you should finger comb your hair.  When the weather is particularly wet or humid you should wear you curly hair pulled back in a bun to help prevent it from frizzing.
