Hand Care Made Easy

Your hands are not only an important part of the body but also a pair of the most visible and used body part which can look really beautiful if taken care of properly. If you have soft hands with a good skin, you will automatically feel good about it.

Here are some tips to help you take care of your hands in the most gentle and effective manner:

Your hands get really roughed up doing dishes. The dish water tends to tear and harden the skin if you do the dishes for too long. One of the best ways to deal with this is to soften the dish water and that can be done by adding a teaspoon of almond oil to it. Water now will soften the skin and the oil will contain the moisture, preserving the elasticity of the skin.

Another way to keep the hands soft is by washing them in warm water thoroughly and then rubbing them vigorously with coarse cloth. The skin on the hands will be soft and once you have rubbed the hands with the cloth, apply a mixture of a teaspoon of honey and a mixture of a teaspoon of oil. Then place the hands in a plastic bag and then wear cotton gloves. Keep the hands like this for 30 minutes to allow the oil honey mixture to penetrate along with the warmth of the gloves. This will lead to a healthy, toned and soft hand skin.

Taking off the dead skin of the hands also helps them soften up and also helps in the creation of new cells. Make a solution of sea salt and lemon and once thoroughly mixed, use a toothbrush to apply it on the hands. This followed twice a week will not only help remove the dead skin but also give your hands the softness that was eluding them.

Milk is an effective hand care agent. Warm a cup of milk for 30 seconds or till it remains warm enough to touch. Put it in a bowl and soak your hands in it for five to ten minutes. This will help strengthen your nails and make the skin softer.
