Ringworm is a fungal infection that is a very common. In fact, research shows that almost everyone has suffered from ringworms at some time in life. Ringworms are reddish ring-like itchy patches of skin that have sharply defined edges.
One notices small blisters in a round formation in almost any part of your body. Although, the name suggests ringworms, it is not caused by any worm. Effective Home Remedies For Ringworm
Turmeric has many medicinal properties and it has been used to treat many skin problems. Make a paste of fresh turmeric and apply it directly on the affected area. Do not wash off.
Papaya is an effective remedy to treat ringworm. Grate some raw papaya and apply it on the ringworm. You can also extract the juice and soak a washcloth in it. Apply this washcloth on the affected area. Papaya seeds can work too. Just grind them and put it on the affected area. Do this every day to get rid of ringworms fast.
Turmeric and Tea Tree Oil
Mix some turmeric juice with tea tree oil and dab it on the ringworm. If possible cover with a cotton or a cloth. Reapply every hour.
Mustard and Water
Another known remedy is to apply a paste of crushed black mustard and warm water on the ringworm. Cover with a bandage or cloth. This remedy work wonders every time.
Grind some basil leaves and put it on the ringworm directly. Leave it for an hour and wash off with cool water.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has so many healing properties. Use this miracle product to treat ringworm as well. Just dab a little on the affected area with a cotton ball. Do not wash. Reapply 4-5 times every day.
Aloe vera has soothing properties and it helps in healing ringworm. Apply the pulp of aloe on the affected area or drink aloe juice every day. You will get relief within a few days.
Carrot and Spinach
Drinking vegetable juice like carrot and spinach will help in healing ringworm. Drink these juices till the ringworm is healed.
Cassia and Water
Make a thick paste of cassia leaves and warm water. Apply it on the ringworm and cover with bandage. Cassia leaves are great for skin infections.
Garlic is another natural remedy for curing ringworm. Grind a few cloves of garlic and apply the paste or the juice on the affected area. Of course, you will smell awful but your infection will be gone within a week.
Ringworm is contagious and the best way to prevent it, is to maintain hygiene and keep away from people that are infected. Like I have mentioned before, ringworm is quite common and heals without much medication, but in case you experience severe infections, it is advisable to go to a doctor.
