But for an overweight person, 1 more glass of water for every 10 kilograms of excess weight of  the ideal body weight is needed. As per climate and body activity it may vary. As it is not advisable to drink lots of water at a time you can spread the total amount of water to be taken over the entire day. Take care to avoid reaching the dehydrated state. Having the right amount of water helps prevent water retention which is the reason of extra weight in some people.

Bitter gourd

Bitter vegetables like bitter gourd metabolize fats and prevent them from accumulating in the body. They are low in calories and high in dietary fibers. Have it in the cooked form if you can’t stand the juices.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon helps to control blood sugar levels in the body. It helps in the production of insulin and it can be had with food.
