Homemade Beauty Masks

Homemade Beauty MasksWhile every woman wants to look beautiful, many of them unknowingly opt for chemically based applications, which instead of giving beauty to their face, only spoil the existing luster.

The traditional treatments which Indian women have been using, which are being adopted by the west as beauty masks, are some of the natural products which can not only beautify you, but are easy to prepare and are inexpensive.

If your skin is a tanned type, mix lemon juice with sugar, add a dash of glycerin and rub it gently on the skin in circular motions. Skin tan will be removed and skin becomes soft.

For sunburn, mix a teaspoon of potato juice and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply it on your face as a mask and wash off after 15 minutes. Tan can be removed if continued for a few days.

Olive oil and sugar mixed and rubbed for a while on hands will remove roughness of skin on the hands.

You can make henna masks at home. A cup of henna should be mixed with a cup of tea.  Add an egg to it and one tablespoon of castor oil, which holds the mask in place. You can also add a teaspoon of coffee powder together with a spoonful of amla powder for better results. Store the paste overnight and apply it next morning. Leave it on hair for about 3 hours and then rinse with cold water, to get a nice tint.

You can also make a conditioner at home. Here is the recipe:
– Lanolin – 2 tablespoons
– Castor oil – 3 tablespoons
– Coconut oil –  1.5 tablespoon
– Vegetable lard – 1-tablespoon
– Water – 1/2 cup
– Vinegar 1- teaspoon
– Glycerin – 1 teaspoon.
– Shampoo – 1 teaspoon.

Dissolve the oils with lanolin, heat water in a separate pan. Mix water to oils instantly and blend them by beating. These are enough to make a nutrient hair conditioner for your hair. Apply this cream to hair and steam the application in the hair. If an egg is added to the cream, it will cure dryness of hair too. These ingredients are sufficient for making a large pot of a very nutritious hair conditioner.
