Homemade Body Scrub
When a woman is pregnant she has to take care of both herself and her unborn child. Several of these matters need to be done with the supervision of a doctor. Doctors often advise that women stop taking hot baths.
If a woman does not want to miss the pleasure associated with hot baths during her pregnancy, she has to undertake an activity that is just as luxurious. It is with this goal in mind that women can utilize the following total body scrub.
What is a scrub?
A scrub is an essential part of any beauty treatment. Also called Exfoliating, it is a process that allows a person to rid themselves of dry, dull, outer layers of skin. While a number of body scrubs are available in the market, people can also prepare these scrubs at home.
Homemade body scrubs are not only easy to make but also inexpensive when compared to pricy cosmetic products. Scrubs can be prepared to best meet a person’s skin sensitivity. Body scrubs prepared at home are considered the safest and purest way to treat the body.
A naturally abrasive ingredient like sugar can be used as a base for the scrub, and then mixed with fruits or beauty oil. To soothe the skin, honey can be added. A homemade scrub helps enhance the beauty of the skin.
Body Scrub
Ingredients
Brown sugar: 1½ cups
Honey: 1 tablespoon
Jojoba oil: ½ cup
Liquid soap: ¼ cup
Preparation
Place the brown sugar in a medium-size bowl. Add the honey, jojoba oil and liquid soap. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Usage
Warm up your bathroom, then dry the bathtub and line it with towels. Get into the tub and gently massage the scrub all over your body, from neck to toes. After applying the body scrub, remove the towels from the bathtub and rinse the scrub from the skin with warm water. As the jojoba oil can make the tub slippery, always be careful when stepping out of the bathtub.
