Here are the ultimate, newest, and certainly the hottest hairstyles for this summer! There’s no doubt you’ll find a few here that you’ll want to try!

Soft and Sexy is in!

No need for an expensive salon for these, you can do all these styles by yourself. To go sexy and soft, try one of these options:  If you have a little body in your hair already, scrunch wet hair with your hands after washing it, and let it air dry. Texturize damp hair with a little mousse and scrunch with your hands, allow it to air dry without brushing or combing. This will encourage your hair to hold the scrunched look better.

Soft waves with plenty of volume is in!

Summertime is filled with everything natural. Fuller, romantic waves are one of the looks for this summer’s fashion. Bigger curlers are what some will need to achieve this look, or some of you may be able to get away with scrunching as mentioned above. Use mousse or gel when you scrunch, but apply it to the roots of your hair instead of on the top. With mousse or gel on your hands, slide your hands up the back of your head, right against your scalp and pull your hair through your fingers loosely. Lift and scrunch once the gel is spread out evenly.

Sexy, Exciting Curls!

Apply your favorite product as mentioned above to fluff your hair. Go through the top layer or two with a curling iron and hold it vertically (in line with your hair) for several seconds, then slowly slide the curling iron down to remove it from your hair. Repeat this about every inch or so, all the way around your head. Use a touch hair spray, just to help it in place. Fluff those locks and let them breathe the fresh air of the summer!

The trend for short hair is the Bob

The bob cut has been around for as long as hair itself, and it always circulates back, never really going out of style. It’s such a versatile cut that it can be worn up, down, curly, wavy, or straight.

Short Hair is Flirty

What better time than summer to take the plunge and chop off the locks? It’s hot, and if you’re a swimmer you’ll be dealing with chlorine or the harshness of salt water and it’s all likely to take its toll on your hair. Consider a Pixie; a short shag or even a short bob. If you decide to go short, give it time to settle with you and soon you will see how completely flexible a short hair cut can be. Simply wash and dry or scrunch it up!

Review the season’s best picks for your new hairstyle, and take the picture with you to the salon so the stylist can give you the cut that you really want. If all else fails, go sporty with a neatly tied bandana or your favorite cap!
