4 Home Remedies To Cure Dandruff Naturally

Dandruff

Dandruff is a condition that happens when our scalp starts to flake. Although medically dandruff isn’t a cause for any concern, it can be an embarrassing nuisance.

There are several shampoos on the market that are formulated to help with dandruff, they often leave out hair smelling like it is heavily medicated. There are several home remedies that you can use to cure your dandruff.

Hot Oil Treatments

Hot oil is one of the best ways to add much needed moisture to your scalp. No, you can’t use hot motor oil. What you have to do is go to the beauty care section of your local grocery store and look in the hair care section for a hot oil treatment (the base ingredient should be olive oil). The hot oil comes in a small plastic vial that you are suppose to place in warm water. After shampooing your hair, rub the hot oil deeply into your scalp. Pull a shower cap over your head and allow the hot oil to sit for 20-30 minutes before you rinse it off. Not only will the hot oil help eliminate your dandruff, it’ll also leave you with a head full of glossy locks.

Tea and Limewater

If you, or someone you know is a big tea drinker, you should set aside five used teabags. When you are ready to wash your hair you open the teabags and dump the tealeaves into a cup of limewater. Boil the water. Set the mixture aside and allow it to cool while you shampoo your hair. When you have finished shampooing your hair, pour the limewater over your head and massage it into your scalp. Rinse the tea leaves from your hair.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is good for more than just absorbing refrigerator smells. The next time you take a shower, instead of reaching for the shampoo, rub a handful of baking soda into your hair and scalp. Allow it to sit for several minutes and then rinse the baking soda out of your hair. Keep repeating this for several days until your dandruff is gone.
