Home Manicure In Simple Ways
The Oatmeal Scrub
Mix 2 tablespoons of fine sea salt with equal quantity of oatmeal and one tablespoon baking soda.
Soak in water to give a scrub-like texture, rub on the hands, fingers and nails for a couple of minutes and rinse off. It quickly peels off dead and flaky skin.
The Milk & Honey Dip
Combine quarter cup honey with two egg yolks and a tablespoon of honey. Beat up the ingredients to form a smooth paste and dip the nails for a few minutes. This helps remove the yellowish stain from the nails, and strengthens the nails that are susceptible to chipping
The Sugar Scrub
To moisturize instantly, mix two tablespoons of olive oil/ baby oil/ vegetable oil with one tablespoon coarse sugar. Scrub on the hands for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water. It nourishes the skin and softens the cuticles.
Tomato to De-Tan
Mix well lime juice and one tomato juice. Add 3-4 teaspoons of glycerin and apply on arms and hands for 15 minutes.
Then rinse with warm water and pat dry. For better results moisturize with olive oil and leave overnight. It helps de-tan the skin and soften the hands through conditioning.

Before manicure, remove the nail paints with a good nail paint remover on cotton. File your nails in a squoval shape. It should neither be square nor oval in shape. This avoids the chances of breaking of nails while working.Soak in soap water for a few minutes and rinse off well.
