Although the cause of moles is still unknown but they can be embarrassing and can mar the appearance of your skin. Normally round in shape and sometimes raised from the skin, moles are generally brown or black colored.
Though mostly harmless, yet moles should be supervised by a doctor since some moles may be cancerous.
Surgical and laser procedures can be used to remove moles but nothing can be better if one finds out some handy home remedies that could help you get rid of moles naturally. These inexpensive processes are sans any side effects and hassles.
Baking Soda And Castor Oil
A mixture of baking soda and castor oil can effectively help in getting rid of moles. Put some castor oil into a pinch of baking soda and make a paste. Apply this paste on your mole at night and leave it on overnight. Wash off thoroughly in the morning with cool water and a mild cleanser. Repeat this every night for at least a week till the mole diminishes.
This mixture of baking soda and castor oil can be made fresh for each application or can also be stored in the refrigerator and then re-used for two days.
Dandelion root juice can effectively remove moles. Take a dandelion root and cut it. Squeeze to get its juice to the surface. A milky white substance will be coming out of the root when squeezed. Apply a thin layer of this substance onto your mole, making sure that the mole is completely covered by it. Let the juice get absorbed into the mole. Applying at least thrice daily for a week or two can help you get rid of the mole.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and place it on your mole. Make sure that the vinegar only covers the mole surface and does not come into contact with the surrounding skin. Now cover the cotton with an adhesive bandage so that it remains attached with the mole. Keep this overnight. Remove the bandage and the cotton ball in the morning and wash off the area with water.
Apple cider vinegar contains a good amount of potassium that helps to break down the skin of the mole and helps to fade it out.
Pineapple And Sea Salt
A mixture of fresh pineapple and sea salt when applied topically on a mole can help you to get rid of the mole. Mix ½ cup freshly cut pineapple and 1/4th cup of sea salt in a blender to make a thick paste. Apply this mixture on your mole and massage for 30 minutes. Wash off with water and a mild cleanser and apply moisturizer after this.
This treatment can be done regularly till the mole fades out. However, if any irritation occurs in your skin, the treatment should be stopped immediately and a dermatologist may be consulted.
A thin slice or a paste of garlic can also be applied on the top of your mole in order to get rid of it quickly. Put the slice or paste of garlic on your mole and cover it with a piece of gauge. Attach the gauge over the garlic with an adhesive bandage. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes or until the garlic becomes dry. It can also be left for several hours. This treatment needs to be applied twice daily. Soon the mole will get dried and you can achieve a clear skin.
Tea Tree Oil
Apply a few drops of tea tree oil on your mole several times daily. The skin of the mole will gradually dry up and become a scab and fall off within a month.
Unlike surgical procedures, these home remedies to remove moles do not leave any mark or scar on the skin. But before you remove the moles whether by home remedies or surgical process, it is better to confirm from your doctor that the moles are not cancerous.
