One fine morning you look at yourself in the mirror and see some fine lines on your face. What would be your reaction? These fine lines are called wrinkles.
As we grow old, our skin ages as well and these lines appear. In other words this skin problem is inevitable. Since there is no fountain of youth, there is no way you can stop it. But that does not mean you can not do anything about it. Remember, wrinkle makes the skin older than its actual age.

The upper layer of the skin is nothing but a mirror image of the middle layer, or I should say it carries the image of the middle layer. It is the middle layer that carries the skin’s moisture. When there is a shortage of skin moisture, then wrinkles occur. But that is the general cause behind wrinkles. There are other factors that are responsible for this skin problem. They are smoking, too much exposure to the sun, less moisture, if the middle layer of the skin is damaged and if there is a hormonal imbalance.
Here are the ways you can stop wrinkles from appearing for a long time. First off, quit smoking. Wrinkles can appear at an early age. They are called the premature wrinkles. This happens if you smoke as tobacco is not just bad for your lungs, but also for your skin.
Direct sunlight will have its adverse effect on your skin. Carry an umbrella with you when you go out. And do not forget to use a sunscreen. That will help as well. Remember, it is not just the scorching sun, but also the ultra violet rays that also causes wrinkles.
Last but not the least, drink enough water throughout the day. The water helps to hold the needed moisture and prevents wrinkles from appearing.
