Making Up With Your Partner after a Clash

• We all have to begin by saying, “I’m sorry.” These words have the best effect of all. However, this is not enough to make things up to partner. But at least this will help to you to get your partner to the talking table.

• Then, share your true feelings with your partner, but make sure you do this in a very specific manner. This is a very effective way and will permit you to get to the heart issue frankly. This will also help your partner to appreciate your position.

• If you really feel responsible for what occurred, be willing to accept the liability. This will start with owning up to your part in the argument without blaming your partner for it. You want to avoid another intense conflict.

• Always try to avoid “right.” The reason behind it is very easy to understand: sometimes such an attitude is the very thing which will keep the argument going.

• Always be grateful for your partner after an argument. This is the time to re-set the scales of your relationship. The other thing which will help you is observing and always expressing those feelings and things which you like about him/her.
