wrinkleNo one likes to look old, even if he/she is old. However, the fact is that the very first mark of aging appears around the eyes, where everyone notices it at the first sight.

“Frown lines” which form between the eyebrows and “Crow’s feet” which appear at the corners of the eyes, are the signs of getting old. That is why people are in a hurry to find a way of hiding them.

As a natural process, it is impossible to be able to hide these lines completely. Anyway, you can take some precautions to eliminate their process and to prevent from looking old too early. It is important to be aware of the reasons for the development of eye wrinkles and to defend them effectively.

Natural Reasons

The main reason for the formation of eye wrinkles is aging. As you grow older, the division of your skin cells becomes slower and as a result, the inner skin known as dermis gets thinner. In addition to that, the production of Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic acid, which are the essential natural substances to make the skin firm and give the skin volume, decreases. This easily accelerates the formation of wrinkles.

Facial Expressions

Facial expressions are another reason. When we smile or weep, several wrinkles form temporarily and they eventually contribute to the formation of permanent wrinkles. Sleeping can also be one of the factors for making wrinkles, known as ’sleep lines’. In some cases, genes also play a role in the early formation of eye wrinkles.

Sunshine

No one can defend himself/herself from aging, smiling or weeping. Nevertheless, it is easy to control some other factors. Sunshine is the first among them. Being in sunshine for a long time will tempt you to squint frequently, which causes eye wrinkles. Moreover, the Ultraviolet rays from the sun can affect your skin badly, making it dry and destroying its elasticity. Hence, if you do not want to be old too early, keep away from bright sunshine as far as possible.

Smoking

Smoking is not only injurious to your lungs, but also a threat to your skin. It can make you squint and dry your skin as well. So be healthy and young by putting an end to your smoking habit.

Finally, provide enough nourishment to your skin by including vegetables in your diet, moisturize your skin frequently and avoid rubbing the skin around your eyes. These are some of the steps to keep you young and healthy for a long time.
