Stop Using Heat

Get Rid of Dandruff
Extreme dryness causes the outer layer of the skin to separate which starts to appear as white flakes and is easily noticeable. This is referred to as dandruff and causes immense itchiness. Your prime task should be to get rid of dandruff. Use a herbal anti-dandruff shampoo which is mild and not loaded with chemicals which robs hair of its moisture. You can also apply lemon juice regularly as a home remedy to control dandruff. Once you are able to control the dandruff problem, your scalp will not cause you the itching embarrassment.
Moisturize your Scalp
Dandruff as mentioned above is caused by dryness – one easy way to combat such dryness is by regular moisturizing. Sesame oil works wonderfully to sooth dry scalp.
Apply it all over your scalp every night and leave it overnight. You can also massage the scalp thoroughly with vitamin E oil. You can also use the ingredients of any vitamin E capsule which is good for hair.
Use Apple Cider Vinegar
This helps in balancing the pH levels of your scalp which helps in reducing the dryness of scalp. You can make a mixture using 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup water and apply the solution over your hair. Let this solution stay for at least 30 minutes before you rinse it off thoroughly.
Apply Tea Tree Oil
This oil is known for its anti bacterial and anti-fungal properties which helps in curing dandruff and infections of the scalp. Regular application helps to reduce the dryness of the scalp and reduce its flakiness.
You can dilute this oil with one teaspoon of water per 2 teaspoons of oil while massaging into your scalp.
This works wonders for dry and itchy scalp. You just need to add a spoon of lemon juice to a cup of water and apply directly in your scalp. Let it remain for thirty minutes and rinse thoroughly. However, keep in mind not to apply this juice if you have broken skin.
