Here is a one-day-in-a-week detoxification diet for you to gain all beauty and health benefits.

Before hitting the toilet you need to consume something that would ease removal of the fecal matter and clean your colon. You have many options to choose from.

You may drink a glass of freshly prepared juice of fenugreek and tomatoes, taken in equal quantities. Add a pinch of pepper to it.

Another option is to mix 1 tbsp of gooseberry powder in a glass of water and drink it. You can eat slice tomatoes by sprinkling black pepper on it. Bitter gourd juice is extremely beneficial but your taste buds may not find it friendly.

You should be having 5 to 6 small meals and in case you feel hungry in between, munch on walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds. These nuts are rich in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which are powerful antioxidants.

Food items should include only those fruits and vegetables which can be eaten raw or after boiling. The spices that you will need to add flavor to the meals should be minimal and rich in antioxidants.

These spices are red chili, black pepper, oregano, mustard and home-made tomato puree (or ketchup).

Use five types of fruits to prepare the morning fruit salad. It can include any of the seasonal fruits. Papaya, banana, mangoes, kiwi and musk melon can fill you enough to get your day started. Pour some honey to the salad for some added energy and detoxification.

Boiled potatoes with France beans are a good combination. Add finely chopped red peppers, jalapenos, olives and oregano.

Another option is to prepare salad by slicing carrots, cucumber and tomatoes. Spice with finely chopped green chili and iodized salt.

Best option for dinner is sprouts. Boil the pulses. Add chopped onions, tomatoes and green chilly. Squeeze out fresh lemon juice on it and relish.

An essential part of detoxification diet are fluids. Drink 3-4 cups of herbal teas often and 12 to 15 glasses of water.
