Party Makeup
There is just something tips about a party and having a good time that makes you want to get all dressed up. You pull out your favorite little black dress, strap on your best pair of stiletto heels, and arrange your hair in the most elaborate style that you know.
All that is left to do is paint you face. This is probably where you run into a road block. For just this one night you want to be glamorous, you want people to notice you. Your normal make up style needs a face lift. You need to put on your party makeup.
Party makeup doesn’t have to be complicated. All you really have to do is put on some more daring colors, and make a few other minor adjustments.
Before You Start
Before you even start to put on your party makeup you should wash and moisturize you face. Instead of reaching for your usual boring moisturizer, try using a moisturizer that has been designed to add some sparkle to your skin. Seeing the way your skin glows after using this moisturizer will help get you in the party mood and provide you with a nice base for your makeup.
If you are planning on being out late, you should try rubbing your face with an ice cube before you put on your make up. In addition to helping reduce any swelling, the ice will help your makeup stay on a little bit longer.
Foundation
When you are putting on your foundation makeup try using a shade lighter than your day makeup. The lighter foundation should still match your skin tone but it will help highlight your eyes and lips and also make your face look brighter.
Making Up Your Eyes
To draw more attention to your eyes, try using a darker eye shadow than you do during the day. Use a dark blue or gray eye shadow on your eye lid and then use a pale pink eye shadow to fill in the area from your eyelid to your eyebrow.
Putting on Your Lipstick
Instead of painting your lips with a pale or neutral shade of lipstick, why don’t you try to use a bright red lipstick? To attract even more attention to your mouth use a lip liner that is a shade darker than your lipstick.
