Being pregnant is one of the most beautiful experiences of a woman’s life. The process of giving birth to a child that is, bringing a new life to this world can only be experienced by a woman. Pregnancy lasts for about nine months. In these nine months of pregnancy a woman’s body undergoes many changes. A woman’s taste buds also tend to change. She also tends to have many mood swings also.
With many hard ships also comes the bundle of joy, something every woman waits for. There are many “firsts” that a woman experiences during her pregnancy. Some of the “firsts” are her first ultrasound, the first time when she can see the baby clearly, the baby’s first kick etc.
All these beautiful experiences make up the nine months of pregnancy. There are few difficulties also attached to pregnancy but all of those are forgotten when the mother has her baby in her arms. All the nine months have something new in store for the mother to be.
Month By Month Pregnancy Guide
It is the month when ovulation takes place, that is, when the sperm and egg fuse and their journey to the uterus takes place. This is the first month when the expecting mother misses her monthly period. It is then that she starts to suspect that she is pregnant.
She should take a pregnancy test at home. Sometimes, these home pregnancy tests may show that you are not pregnant. Hence, always go to the doctor and confirm it. In the first month a woman can feel emotionally drained out. A mixed feeling of being overjoyed to scared can also be experienced by the expecting mother. The first month is just the starting of pregnancy and first trimester.
Pregnancy symptoms like fatigue, nausea, vomiting etc begin. These are very common symptoms for the first trimester. An expecting mother shall not over do any kind of work.
She shall take the maximum rest possible. It is very important for the expecting mother to take proper care of herself in the first trimester. Your doctor will also start calculating the tentative date for your delivery in the second month.
It is the last month of your first trimester. The fatigue, nausea and vomiting continue in the third month also. They will lessen by the end of this month. You will unconsciously start thinking about your baby’s health and do whatever is the best for it.
Your first month of the second trimester starts from this month. You will feel better from this month. The placenta for the baby has been formed. It takes up the role for the protection of your baby. Your heartbeat rate increases from this month. Usually the belly does not show that you are pregnant but some women may start having a grown belly at this month also.
In this month a number of changes take place. The baby growing inside you starts to move. This movement of the baby is known as quickening. The expecting women need to urinate more often as their kidneys start working harder during their pregnancy. The uterus expands to each your naval and this begins to show. These are the three major changes which can be noticed by you in your fifth month of pregnancy.
You will feel the movement of your baby inside you. The baby starts moving more than the previous month.
A pregnant woman can also have gastric problems for this she shall have small meals in frequent possible times. You may also start feeling practice contractions in this month. A woman may also experience pre mature delivery after the end of this month. So, she shall be aware of this.
In this month you enter the last trimester of your pregnancy. A woman can start experiencing back aches, sleepless nights etc. Your belly will start growing at a rapid rate now. Your body will start preparing for the birth of a child. Your knees will feel loose as your body will release relaxin.
This can be one of the most difficult months of your last trimester. You may experience fatigue at its worse. You will have sleepless nights. A lot of trouble associated with sleeping will bother you. You will feel very uncomfortable. Also, as your baby slips further down in the pelvis you will have to urinate even more. To make yourself feel better take as many small naps as you can. You can also try some exercises if your doctor approves of it.
This is the last and the final month of your last trimester and your pregnancy. Many contractions take place in this month to prepare you for your labor. Your belly has grown very large by this month. By the end or middle of this month you will deliver your baby.
You shall take proper care of yourself during your pregnancy. You may feel exhausted and tired very easily. So, you should avoid doing any kind of extra work. Remember to eat healthy food. Avoid smoking or the intake of alcohol as what you intake will go your baby also. Be happy and feel good. Do not worry about the discomforts much as once the baby is born you will tend to forget all of those.
