Plethora of information usually gets overwhelming and a lay man begins to feel confused rather than informed.

Most if the diet menus list exotic or expensive foods which again become difficult to arrange on daily basis. Here we are presenting a simple and easy-to-follow menu which you can easily follow at home or while travelling and can lose weight fast. While following this diet plan, remember the old adage that breakfast should be like a King, lunch like a Prince and dinner like a Pauper.

Diet Menu ToLose Weight

Start Your Day With Antioxidant

Assuming that you start your day at 6 am we would suggest you to start your day with a dose of antioxidant. You can either take a teaspoon of aloe vera gel and a glass of water or can replace it with a teaspoon of gooseberry juice.

Both Aloe vera and Amla are great natural antioxidants. Amla also contains lots of vitamin C which is helpful in increasing haemoglobin levels and immunity levels.

Morning Tea

After half an hour of taking Amla or Aloe vrea, at around 6.30 am you can take a cup of tea. Take light tea without sugar and two Marie biscuits.

Breakfast

At around 7.30 take a tomato or a fruit. This should be taken before breakfast. In your breakfast at around 8.30 am take a combination of whole grains and protein. This can be achieved by combining veg. dalia/ veg. upma/veg. sandwich/ veg. poha and 2egg whites/ 60 gms tofu/ 60 gms paneer or half cup sprouts.

First Snack Of The Day

After two hours, at around 10.30 take a glass of fresh vegetable juice or a glass of lime juice and a bowl of fruit salad. You can include fruits like papaya, apples, water melon, musk melon, guava or any other seasonal fruits. Include mangoes and chickoos occasionally.

Pre Lunch Drink

Green Tea

In pre-lunch drink you can add a cup of green tea or a glass of cardamom water. Other healthy drinks are butter milk, coconut water, etc.

Lunch

Lunch should be taken at around 2 pm and should consist of a plate of salad, a bowl of green vegetable or dal, a bowl of low fat curd, 2 multigrain chapattis or veg.  stuffed chapattis.

Evening Tea

In evening tea you can take a cup of sugar less tea with 2 biscuits or two rusks or popcorns/ roasted chana or a handful of dry fruits like almonds, raisins, walnuts, pista, dates, etc.

Pre-Dinner

You can take a cup of toned milk or green tea or vegetable juice at around 6 pm. This will make you feel energized and full.

Dinner

Dinner should be taken latest by 8 pm and should consist of a plate of vegetable salad, roasted chicken or grilled fish or veg. sandwich or dhokla or a multigrain chapatti with green cooked vegetables.

Bedtime

Before going to bed, take a teaspoon of psyllium husk or a teaspoon of triphla powder with water. This works as an intestinal toner.
