Hair Treatments for Dry Hair
Mayonnaise is a very common and yet very effective treatment for taming your locks. Mayonnaise is full of fatty acids and hence is a blessing in disguise for dry and damaged hair. Just apply half a cup of mayonnaise on your hair and scalp and leave it on for 20 – 30 minutes. If you can, cover your hair with a shower cap and then wrap a hot towel around your hair. The warmth of hot towel will help the fats of mayonnaise penetrate inside your hair shaft and will give it a smooth and lustrous look. Wash out your hair pack with cool water and fall in love with your silky soft hair.
Olive oil is a great natural conditioner for dry hair. Warm some olive oil and apply it on your scalp and hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash it off with a shampoo meant for dry hair.
You can apply a conditioner also. A hot towel treatment will again help the oil go deep inside the hair and reduce dryness and frizz.
Eggs are a boon for dry hair. Take yolk of two eggs and add a tablespoon of yogurt to them. Now beat this mixture till it becomes a smooth paste and apply it on your hair. Wash off after 30 minutes. You can rinse your hair finally with half a lemon squeezed in a mug of water to get rid of the odor. Applying the egg and yogurt mask will yield amazing results as both the ingredients are powerhouse of proteins, a building block for healthy hair.
Honey is a natural humectant. A humectant is an ingredient which attracts water like the magnet attracts the iron. Obviously, honey is a great ingredient for your dry hair. After washing your hair with shampoo, take a tablespoon full of honey and mix it with some water. Mix it well and pour over your wet hair. Condition your hair with some conditioner and then wash off. You will see lustrous and silky soft hair perched on your scalp.
Vinegar brings lots of shine to your hair and makes them super smooth. After shampooing your hair, use either white or cider vinegar as a last rinse.

Bananas and Avocados
These two fruits are a great combination to reduce dryness from your hair. Take two ripe bananas and two avocados. Mash them well and mix together. Apply this paste on wet hair. Leave for 20 minutes and then wash off your hair with shampoo and condition them as usual.
Yogurt and Glycerin
Glycerin is again a humectant and makes a great ant dryness treatment along with curd. Add some glycerin in a cup of yogurt, mix well and apply to your hair. Wash off after 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual.
Beer is also a great ingredient for taming the dry hair. Make it a point that every time you open a bottle of beer either rinse your hair with a mug of beer followed by plain water or simply spray beer on your hair with a hair sprayer.
You will get lustrous hair along with a nice bounce.
Safflower oil is also a great treatment for reducing the frizz and controlling the flyaway hair. Use a very small quantity of safflower oil as a leave in conditioner. After drying your hair completely, take 4 – 5 drops of oil on your palms and rub them vigorously on your palm. Then run your palms through your hair, especially at the ends of the hair. If you have short hair then use very little amount of oil so that your hair may not look sticky.
