gray-hair-treatmentsWe all know that at sometime or another, we are going to see gray hairs pop up out of nowhere and when we least expect it.  Believe it or not, you don’t have to be 60yrs old to see gray. It can show up at anytime. There are different ways that you can treat your gray.

Of course, there are gray hair treatments that you can do. But, most people seem to opt for the easy method of hair dye. The important thing to remember when your hair is gray, you cannot run out and buy a regular bottle of hair dye. You will need to purchase a special hair dye for gray hair.

Gray is harder to color than your natural color. It is resistant to hair dye. You also have to decide whether you want to permanently color your hair of if you are looking for a temporary effect. If you have sensitive skin, you should do an allergy test first before you dye your hair.

When dying your hair, be sure to wear gloves so that the skin on your hands doesn’t get dyed with the hair color. You also will want to use petroleum jelly around your hair line to keep the dye off of your skin. Use a wide tooth comb when you put the hair dye on so that it gets distributed evenly giving your hair a more natural look.

Once you rinse, apply conditioner so that your hair comes out soft and manageable. You can then dry your hair and style. Be sure to use a shampoo that is specially made for hair that is dyed. It will keep your hair color longer. Follow the directions on the box as to when you can dye your hair again.

Remember that if you use a color that is one shade darker than your natural color, it will last longer. Also be sure not to leave the hair dye on longer than the directions say. You could dry out your hair and cause damage causing it to become very brittle.
