Women are known to carry a lot of luggage when they travel. Carrying extra luggage will add multiple troubles during the journey.

Here is a guide to carry only what is required and take necessary precautions to have a safe journey when you are traveling alone.

Preparing the Bags

You should not carry more than two bags. Buy a bigger bag if you have to but keep your luggage minimal. Your handbag should be large and must carry a water bottle, wallet, identity proof, tooth brush, tooth paste, hand sanitizer and your phone charger.

All those things which you will need during the journey should preferably be kept in your hand bag. This way you can keep your larger bags locked.

Clothes

Always carry one set of clothing more than what your plans are but that does not mean you have to carry all of your best clothes. Carry shirts and Tees that you can mix and match with jeans or pants to create different outfits.

Example, carry a top that can be worn with jeans as well as skirt, if purpose of your trip is both pleasure or work.

Don`t talk to Strangers

You are traveling alone and you have traveled alone several times before. Still, you must try and avoid mixing up with people till an extent where they start sharing their eatables with you. These days it is extremely easy to add drugs to even packaged products such as chocolates, chewing gum, etc.

Sleep well

To avoid jet lag sleep on a time that you are used to sleep. Do not bother if others are sleeping or not. Woman are more susceptible to stress and exhaustion than men. Hence, they must take appropriate rest during the journey.

Some women resort to consuming a few alcoholic drinks to fall asleep during the journey. Avoid it.

Traveling on “those“ Days

If you are traveling during your periods then make sure you are having enough sanitary napkins in your handbag. Drink plenty of water. Traveling in those days is extremely irritating, especially when you are having cramps and a lower abdominal pain. Long flights make it worse.

Increasing your fluid intake will help you pass more urine. This will help in reducing cramps.
