People with oily skin are forever trying to get rid of that greasy and shiny look on their face. Their oily skin is produced by their over active sebaceous glands. Even if they clean their faces in the morning with astringent cleansers, by midday their skin reacquires that oily look.

Characteristics of Oily Skin
In most people, the oily skin is concentrated mainly in that area known as the T-zone, which includes the forehead, nose and chin.

People who are prone to suffer from Blackheads, pimples or Acne usually find that these tend to concentrate in this area. This type of skin requires special care because of the nature of the symptoms that it usually produces.

Treatment for Oily Skin
One of the ways in which you can care for oily skin is by frequent washing. This is the best way to get rid of the excess oil, and accumulated dirt from the dust and grime that is present in the atmosphere. These tend to clog the pores, producing Acne and other skin diseases. A good sulfur-based soap is the best cleanser for excess oil. Before retiring at night, you should also clean your face with a good cleansing product. This will get rid of any excess oil that could accumulate on the face during sleep and could further contribute to an oily skin.

Diet for Oily Skin
The food you eat could also contribute to an oily skin. Fried foods and salads that contain oil or mayonnaise could make your skin oily and could also cause circulation and other heart problems. Your diet should contain much protein, and plenty of fruits and green leafy vegetables. The nutrients and antioxidants contained in these two vital food sources could help you have a less oily skin and would make you healthier. Any excess use of Sodium and Sodium-based products should also be watched. Sugar could also contribute to an oily skin and its use should be curtailed.

Daily Routine
Oily skin could be controlled by daily washing with a sulfur-based soap, avoiding foods with oil and by constant use of an astringent. If you take care to follow a cleansing routine daily, you would soon see an improvement in your complexion.

In this way, you can easily deal with oily skin.
