Slowly lift your hips and bend your legs at the knees. Then move your legs in a cyclical motion. Make sure your back is flat on the mat. You will feel a pressure in your lower abdomen. This exercise should not be done for at least 30 minutes after any meal.

Simple Leg Lift

This is definitely the easiest and yet the most effective exercise to reduce stomach fat. Lie down on your bed or on a yoga mat as per your convenience. Lift both your legs about two feet in the air without using your hands as a support. This exercise should not be done for at least 45 minutes after any meal.

Abdominal Crunches

One of the most recommended exercises to reduce stomach fat. Lie down flat on your back on a yoga mat. Then fold your legs such that your knees are perpendicular to the ground and feet are flat on the ground. Put your hands on either side of your head but do not interlock them. Once you are comfortably settled, inhale.

Then slowly lift up your upper body using your stomach muscles and try to touch your forehead to your knees. Then lie back again and exhale. Make sure you get up using your stomach muscles and not your back muscles. Also avoid taking help from your hand in pulling your head up. This may cause neck muscle pain.

Hip Twisting

This is a fun exercise and helps in reducing stomach fat. Stand straight and take support from any object above your waist height, could be the back of a chair. Bend your knees a little and then twist your hips from one side to the other. Twist it as much as you can without feeling a pressure on your back. You can also do this with a hula hoop.

Recommended by fitness experts since forever, jogging is by far the most effective of all exercises for losing any type of fat. It helps in reducing not only stomach fat but even helps in toning of the body. But jogging, if not done regularly, is ineffective and a waste of time. Even if done for 15-20 minutes regularly, jogging will show its effects in about 3-4 weeks.

Other than these simple exercises, dietary control is essential for long term figure maintenance. Green tea after every meal helps reduce fat absorption by cutting down fat in the food. If green tea is not available, a glass of warm water with juice of half a lemon in it has the same effect. Any exercise or set of exercises adapted should be done regularly for the desired result.
