It does not drain out any moisture from the walls of the intestines. A small amount of castor oil (half teaspoon) mixed with some fruit juice or milk can be given to children. The child should be allowed to relax in the tub filled with this water for about 15-20 minutes. This kind of warm and relaxing bath will loosen up the muscles that usually keep stool inside the rectum.

Honey and Lemon Water

Lemonade with honey is really helpful in treating constipation in children. Lemon juice contains natural cleansing agents, and when combined with honey, its effectiveness is enhanced. Honey calms the digestive system.
