The child should be allowed to relax in the tub filled with this water for about 15-20 minutes. This kind of warm and relaxing bath will loosen up the muscles that usually keep stool inside the rectum.

Moistening The Anus
Many children show positive signs for bowel movement when their anus is moistened with a warm, damp piece of cloth. Rubbing the area with Vaseline also gives the same result. These remedies will stimulate bowel movement without any harmful effects.
