Girls, do you have short hair? Whether you like it or not, short hair is snappy, fun, and can be made feminine. And remember; it will always grow out.
These days there are different kinds of short hairstyles depending on the kind of hair, hair color etc. We are going to discuss different short hairstyles for women.
Short Haircuts For Women
Pixie cut is a short hairstyle worn by women, generally short on the back and sides of the head and slightly longer on the top. This can actually be a very feminine look. It can be curly, straight or feathered.
To feminize, you may want to clip in a barrette or put a flower behind your ear. For special occasions, you may want to put in something sparkly or very floral. For a more punk/ rocker look, you can spike it up or back with some gel.
A bob cut or a bob is a short haircut for women (and occasionally men) in which the hair is typically cut straight around the head at about jaw-level, often with a fringe (or “bangs”) at the front.
There is another kind of bob called the “‘dice bob”. A variant of the classic bob, the dice bob was said to be “6-sided”, in that the hair would be shaped with various flat planes.
Layered Short Hair
Layered hair is a hairstyle that gives the illusion of length and volume in short hair, this way it is easy to style and manage.Hair is arranged into layers, with the top layers (those that grow nearer the crown) cut shorter than the layers beneath.
This allows the tips of the top layers to blend apparently seamlessly with layers beneath. This is highly adopted hairstyle by the women and is considered to be very trendy.
Asymmetrical Short Hair
An asymmetrical short hair is a haircut in which the hair is cut in such a way that the hair does not have left-right symmetry and one side is cut or appears to be longer than the other.
Texture and hair type play an important role in this kind of haircut. Mostly it’s suitable for straight hair type. This hair style cannot be adopted if you have curly hair as it does not suit the curly hair anyway.
Razor cut is a haircut in which a razor edge is used to cut hair. Razors were used to create the bob style of the early twentieth century. Japanese and Asian hairstylists are commonly experienced with razors, since this is a practical method to create movement in straight hairstyles. The stylist gathers the individual’s hair and razors the hairs at an angle, sliding the razor down the hair shaft.
Short hair requires mostly self-confidence and daring. To avoid looking too “guy-ish”, you can wear feminine makeup or clothes. Whether it’s the shortest shave or shoulder length, know that the hair you have makes you different and special. This is for sure that you will always look better with confidence and a smile.
