Carrots

Carrots are an excellent choice of food that you can eat when you want to look eternally young. In addition to keeping your skin soft and supple, and preventing wrinkles, carrots will also maintain the natural health of your eyes. You can also use carrots to make an awesome facial mask.

Non-fat Yogurt

Non-fat yogurt is a favorite beauty food. The calcium in the yogurt will help you maintain a healthy, white smile. Eating one serving a day will help prevent you from suffering from osteoporosis after menopause. Non-fat yogurt is an excellent way for people who are lactose intolerant to their daily allowance of dairy. During the curdling process the enzyme that triggers the person’s lactose intolerance is neutralized.

Wheat Germ

If you have oily skin and are prone to acne breakouts, a beauty food you will want to try is called wheat germ. All you have to do is mix one or two tablespoons of wheat germ on your breakfast cereal and your acne will start to clear up. Wheat germ can also be mixed with yogurt or cottage cheese.

Sweet Potato

People who eat a sweet potato every day notice that their skin is less prone to wrinkles than people who don’t eat the bright orange potato. In addition to slowing the aging process, sweet potatoes can also ease muscle cramps and help lower your blood pressure.

Citrus Fruit

The regular consumption of citrus fruits will do wonders for maintaining the quality of your skin. Citrus fruit actually produce something called collagen. The collagen acts like glue and hold our skin cells together. The more collagen we have in our skin cells the less likely we are to wrinkle. These are top five foods for healthy skin.

Exercise

It isn’t enough to load your diet full of beauty foods, you also have to get up off the couch and get some exercise. While you don’t have to look like a supermodel and be able to stuff yourself inside a size two pair of jeans, regular exercise will prevent some potentially fatal health conditions that can have a devastating effect on your outer beauty.
